"Stick and Stones May Break Your Child's Bones but Negative Words "Can" Always Hurt Them Too!!!

       Parents remember the old adage, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me?"  Well it was wrong!  We have to be very careful with  negative words that we say to our children and we should never abuse them on any level  and verbal abuse can last a lifetime.
    Monitor what you say to your children!  You can stick knives directly into their hearts with sharp-pointed evil words!  You must be careful when you are talking to your children and even when you are angry, you must concentrate and choose your words carefully!
     We must think about our parents before we speak and we must ask the question, "How would I have felt if my mother  talked to me like that?  We all know the words we wished our parents had said to help us  instead of hurting us.  Here is your opportunity to get it right without screaming foul words at your children!  Let's face it when we say ugly words they only hear the ugly words, the lesson you were trying to teach goes out of the window!!!
     So now that we know that words can hurt "to the bone," what are we going to do about it?  Change your m.o!  You can teach your child a lesson without destroying him/her!  Make a decision to rephrase what you have to say to your child to save your child!  Your child will win and you will win! "Teach Your Children About God and Jesus!"

    I admonish you to teach your children about God and Jesus!  It is of the upmost importance to teach your children about our Father and our Savior!  We are talking about information that a child will carry with him/her eternally!   Teaching your child about God and Jesus will build a foundation that is strong!  You must also encourage your children to read and obey the word! Teach them the Ten Commandments and let them know that they are not outdated!  Prepare your children for the real world!  They will need God, Jesus and the Biblical word to survive and to live eternally!
    Teach your children about God and Jesus and watch them flourish.  This is the 'greatest gift" that you can give your children, a love for God and Jesus which leads to  eternal life!

"Do You Really Love Your Children?"

     Let's have a heart to heart talk!  Do you really love your children?  I mean do you "really" love your children?  I pray that you have been listening to the words in this blog and I pray that you are internalizing the fact that it is not good enought to say you love your children without showing them how much you love them!  Children are one of our most precious gifts from God.  They need to be loved and they need to be shown love 24/7!
    I admonish you to love your children and to show them how much you love them each and every day of their lives.  What could it hurt?  Better yet, what could it help?  Maybe they will not go looking for love in all of the wrong places!
     I admonish you to be active in your children's lives.  Do not be a bystander! Your child's life is much to precious and they need you!  Do you really love your children?  Then get in there in show your love!!!

"Sacrifice! Our Children Deserve the Best That We Have to Give"

    Our children deserve the best that we have to give!  They deserve the best of our time, energy, finances, and love.  They deserve the accolades that they receive for just being alive.  They deserve unconditional  love, attention, and affection.  You have to remember that they did not ask to come here!  We started them on this journey and it is our job to walk with them and care for them and to love them with all of our hearts, minds, bodies and souls!!!
    Make the sacrifice, show the love and wait...give it a moment... and watch that love retun to you a thousand fold!!!!

      I admonish parents to put their hearts, bodies, minds and souls into loving their children!!!  The loving investments that you make in you children lives is returned to you with dividends!  Children need unconditional love and lots and lots of love!  They want to show  you how much they love you so allow them to express themselves!  Remember you are the great beneficary of their love and affection!!!
     Show your love to your children! Do this for the love of children and they will return the love to you!

"Smile!"

     Do you know how important a simple smile can be?  Do you have any clue how much a smile warms the heart of the recipient?  Do you know you can change the atmosphere in a cold room when you warm the room up with your smile?  Do you know how important a smile is to your child?
      Our children so often guage the world based on how their  parents feel and when we show the world favor...They show the world favor.  When we are negative /They are so often negative!
      Therefore, know that it is important to smile and show your children that it is okay to have a positive attitude and enjoy life!

"God Smiles!"

     I truly believe that every time we hug, kiss, and tell our children that we love them...God smiles!
I truly believe that God picks and chooses His children and parents well. I believe that joy is reflected back to us when we are obedient and we treat our children with the love and respect that they deserve!
      Make it a priority to love, hug, kiss, and tell our children that we love them and then stand back and watch God smile!  Do not be blinded by the pure light of His smile! :)
