"An IPad For A Kidney?"

        Recently I was overwhelmed by the news that a teenager had consented to the removal of his kidney to obtain money to purchase an IPad!   We, as parents must teach our children that their bodies are their temples.  We are all fearfully and wonderfully made and we should not be selling body parts to obtain IPads!!!
     Come parents, work with me!!!  Talk to your babies, love them, show them that they are so special and their body parts are special!  Show them that you care and that every body part and every little hair on their heads are so important!   Let them know when God created them He only created 1 of them...therefore they have to treasure each and every body part because God created that body part for them!!!
Talk to your babies...Preach to your babies...Stand on your soapbox or head if necessary!!!  Just get the point across....Any God-Given Body Part Is Worth More Than An IPad!!!!

"For The Love Of A Child!"

     There is absolutely no limit  to the love of a mother for her child!!!  There is not a mountain to high to climb!  There is not an ocean to deep to swim!!!  There is not a valley too low to travel!!!  And there certainly isn't a river too wide to manuever to keep a mother from getting to her child!  My husband call it a "crazy" love and I confess it is!!!
    It is truly an honor and a privilege to be a mother!  A child is a gift!!! Every person who is a mother really and truly must realize the gift or gifts that God has given her and she must thank God for her gift(s)! She must also treasure her gift and hold her gift close to her heart!  The Love Of A Child Is Truly One Of God's Greatest Gifts!!!

"Plant the Seeds of Love In Your Children Then Watch A Garden of Love Grow!"

       Recently, my youngest son was required to traveled out of town for an academic competition.  I usually accompany him as a chaperon. I was unable to go with him and therefore I was concerned about him.  To make matters worse he could not locate his cell phone!!! :-(    By the way what did we do before God gave us cell phones? :-)
   Anyway,  I thank God for my sons' close relationship. Everyone knows they love each other dearly and that they are best friends.  My husband and planted seeds of love into our children, but it gives us joy, pure joy to see, feel,  and touch the love that my children give to everyone especially to each other!
    Let's get back to the academic trip.  My youngest son needed to carry a cell phone!    His older brother stepped up to the plate and batted a thousand!  He unselfishly said, " He can take my cell phone with him."  As much as people hate to part with their cell phones, especially teenagers...my son volunteered to give  his younger brother his cell phone!  I was pleased with my son's generosity and display of love! I complimented him and he said,  "Mom it was the right thing to do."
     My husband and I planted the seeds of love but we have received a garden of love in return! We know we are blessed!

" Jesus ...The Light of the World!

     Jesus is the light of the world as we all know!  Jesus casts a beautiful awesome light on our lives and He makes everything even more beautiful!!!  Jesus is the only "sinless" person  who has walked the earth! He preached the gospel and He told great parables!   Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected!  He loved us so very much and he died for our sins and we, the believers, are the recipients of "The Greatest Gift!"
    Therefore, we must teach our children...our babies  about Jesus!  We must teach them about His light and how they can reflect his light on a dark world! Jesus is the true "Light of the World!"  Teach your children about God and Jesus so that they can be willing vessels to reflect Jesus' light on a dark world!!!  We can all illuminate the darkness!  I have total faith in us and our children!!!

"The Honor and Privilege of Being A Parent!"

        Do you truly realize that it is a privilege to be a parent?  Do you realize how awesome it is to be able to hold your infant in your arms and watch him/her grow as the most beautiful flower ever?  Do you realize and feel the pure joy of looking into his/her eyes and seeing his/her soul?   Does your heart feel that wonderful warm jolt when he/she says "I love you?"
    Words can not express the joy, peace, love and total  happiness that I experience whenever I am near my children.  It is the ultimate joy and I thank God for the honor and the privilege!
     God in His ultimate wisdom gives many gifts and He continues to bestow these gifts on parents.  I am thankful that He took the time out of His very busy days to bestow the gifts of my sons.  The least that I can do to thank Him for my gifts is to teach my children about Him so that they can benefit from knowing our "Living God."  They will also know about Jesus, His Life, His Miracles, Parables,Teachings and of course, His Crucifixion, and His Death on the Cross.  They will also know about Salvation  (truly The Greatest Gift).
       Teaching our children about God and Jesus is the most important thing we can do to thank God for the awesome gift of our children. May God bless and keep you and your children.

"Go For A Nice Walk and Hold Your Child's Hand!!!"

     Go for a nice long walk and hold your child's hand.  God is providing the most awesome weather and the most awesome opportunities to bond with your children!  God is good and he is truly an awesome God and He creates wonderful environments to show your children how much you love them!  It is time to show your children love in all kinds of ways and a nice beautiful walk can do just that!
    Walks are great for the body because it is a great form of exercise!  Walking improves the quality of your life and it allows you to bask in the sunshine and enjoy the gifts that only God can give!  Share these gifts with your children!  Hold their hands!  The power of a loving touch is a gift from parent to child!  Remember when God created the earth He spoke everything else into existence, but He touched man!
     Show your child your favorite tree, flower, caterpillar, grasshopper, bird, cloud, rainbow etc.  See the delight in their eyes and relive your childhood!  Guess what?  Your inner child is still there!  Although you may have to peel down through the layers to get there!  I admonish you to get there for you and your children's sake!
   Go for a nice walk...share the gifts...see the delight in your children's eyes, hold their hands and experience the love and joy of parenthood...Priceless!

"Great Expectations!"

      Do you have "great expectations" for your children?  Have you told them what your expectations are?  Have you let them know that you love them so very much and that you "expect" them to do great things in this world?  Do tell your children that the sky is the limit? To you tell them to trust and believe in God and that nothing is impossible for God?  Work with me parents! Time is of the essence!  You need to instill expectations in your children so that they will know what expectations are and therefore create their own expectations for a successful future!  Come on parents, this is the least that you can do to assist your children in paving their own awesome futures!
   Have great expectations for your children! Share these extraordinary expectations! Assist your children in creating their own awesome expectations!   Praise God as your children live up to those great expectations!

"Pray for Your Children!!!"

      Pray for your children each and every day of their lives!  Give them love and affection without ceasing, but remember to take them before God's throne of grace to ask God to send angels to  minister to them and to love on them!  God is a mighty good God and remember our children actually belong to Him.
    Plead the blood of  Jesus over  your children  and over everyone who comes in contact with them.  Ask God for extra special blessings for your babies!  There are extra special blessings that only God can give to your children!  Pray to God for these blessings!
    The blessing is that God loves us and our children so very much and He knows every hair on our heads and their heads!  Therefore we should go boldly to His throne of grace and pray for our babies.  (Remember they will always be our babies no matter how old they are).  Pray for your children and watch our Daddy answer your prayers!!!

"Happy Valentine's Day---Show Your Kids Your Real Heart!"

      Happy Valentine's Day!  Tis the season to show your children your real heart! Although in my book it's always the season to show the kids your heart! It is the season to show your children love! (I'm am sure you know it's always the season to show your children love!)...but we will play along with this Happy Valentine's Day Theme!
     Boxes of chocolate are cool...you never know what you are going to get!  But it is truly time to show your children that they are loved and appreciated and if you want to celebrate St. Valentine's Day then go for it!  Show your kids your real heart and I bet they will show you theirs!!!

"Show Your Love!!!"

      I always admonish you to show your love to your children!  I remember when my children were small and I would come into the room where they were playing or seated and I would give them a look that said, "You are the only child in the universe and I love you so very much!  It is truly a look that only a mother  or father can give!  It is one of those looks that is so sweet and loving, your child has to see and acknowledge it!  It is truly the type of look that could literally melt icebergs faster than global warming :-)   !  And the blessing is the child feels all of the love that the look is providing!  The child feels the secure love of his or her parents and that is the priceless result of giving this loving look!
    So remember each and every time you see your child give them that loving look and if you are truly blessed, you will receive that same look right back at you!!!

"Protect Your Children!"

      Parents! I urge you  to protect your children! It is so very easy for children to be harmed!  You may think your children are safe but  you must take all  of the necessary precautions and more to take care of your babies!
      Let's talk about the Internet!  Please warn your children that there unfortunately are child predators in this world, this country, this state, this city...in your neighborhood!!!  Warn them to be so very careful!  When they place information on the Internet you need to screen it!  You have to keep that computer where you can see it and monitor your child's internet activity! If your child has a facebook account ...you must have a facebook acct and you must have your child's password!  You are the parent...You deserve the password, hands down!
   Also restrict the information that your child places on the Internet!  You do not want your child to lead a child predator to your door! Whole names, addresses, telephone numbers  should not be placed on the Internet! Children are very naive and they do not understand!  It is our job to help them understand.  It is also our job to protect our children at all costs.

     Today is the perfect day to realize that "Time is of the Essence" and that tomorrow is not promised.  It is so important to tell your children that you love them and to show them how much you love them!  Stop procrastinating!  Show your children how much you love them each and every day.  The opportunity is always available for you to show your children the love and affection that they so rightfully deserve!
    Never miss an opportunity to do something really amazing for your children!  Watch their faces light up!  Watch the pure joy in their eyes! "Be Your Children's Number One Cheerleader!"

      Recently I attended a January Band Festival for High School Students and I was so impressed with the students and band directors work ethics and the quality of music that I heard at the performance.  However, there was a beautiful little girl practicing her cheers in the same building where my son was rehearsing. Just seeing this litle cheerleader touched my heart!
Imagine this I had  walked  up 3 flights of stairs and as I stepped off the last stair. I saw the petite cheerleader!  She was jumping, cheering, smiling,  waving her pom poms and laughing !  She was in heaven!  She made me feel less tired and  I then  I was energized! She was with her coach and they showed me her routine.  I was in heaven as I watched this little one spread her joy!
    We should all be our children's cheerleaders!  We should be jumping, cheering, waving our pom poms and  laughing , having fun with our children.  If we don't do these things for our children...who will?

"Teach Your Children to Smell the Roses!!!"

     I admonish you to take time to smell the roses and then I admonish you to take time to teach your children to smell the roses of life!!! Smelling the roses is my way of saying, "enjoy life!!!" Life is much to short and taking the time to enjoy your life and teaching your children to enjoy their lives is truly a blessing that keeps on giving!!!  Life is much too short to miss the opportunities to "smell the roses!!!"
     You really do deserve a break today!!! So take the time...trust me you have the time...to smell and enjoy the roses!  When you are metaphorically speaking ,"smelling the roses"....notice the intricate beauty of each petal, notice the richness of the color, notice the contrast of colors, feel the softness of each petal, notice the fragility, yet strength of the petals, notice the green supple stem, even feel the prickly thorns! Look at the rose as if this was the first rose that you have seen!  Then teach you children about the rose!  For only God can make a rose and when you are teaching your children about roses teach them that God created roses because He loves us and He wants us to take the time to enjoy and savor his awesome creation!!!

"I Have A Dream!!!"

      Today is a very special day!  It is the celebration of the life  and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr!   We are all recipients of the blessings that he bestowed on all people and the world is truly a better place because he was here, he prayed, he helped others, he taught, he excellled, he loved, he cared and he dreamed!
   I have a dream!  I have a dream that one day all children will be given unconditional love!  I have a dream that every parent will realize tha precious gifts they are given when God gives them children!  I have a dream that parents will take the time to tell and show their children how much they love them each and every day! 
    But of all the dreams that I have the most important dream that I have is that parents will teach their children about God and Jesus.  I pray that parents will teach their children that God is our Heavenly Father and that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and that if they accept Him, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior they will have eternal life!  Salvation is truly the "Greates Gift!"
   I have a dream that everyone will have eternal life!  Help me reach that goal!  Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and then teach your children!!!  Eternal Life is the greatest, most precious  gift that we all can obtain in our lifetime!
   Make my dream a reality, please!

"May The Force Be With You!"

       My husband and I know that we need God  "Our Force"  with us each and every day especially when we are raising our children.  I know that God is "Our Force" and Our Source and He keeps us going and He keeps us alive!  He gives me and my husband the wisdom to raise our children.  God is "The Force" that guides us in giving our children unconditional love!  God is the reason that we know how to love! Our children also know that God is their "Force" and "Source!"
    God was, is and will continue to that Force and Source in our lives that sustains us and our children.  Therefore, I pray and say as you strive to love your children unconditionally, "May the Force Be With You!!!"
